a 1970 graduate of The American University was raised in Washington, DC, moved
with husband Melvin to WV in 1974. She worked as a traveling portrait artist

a Ph.D. from a Penn State University, Ted spent twenty years as a foreign-language
professor. Upon his retirement, he moved to Morgantown and began his
career in real estate. He has been active in community work, including
the Bartlett House homeless shelter, Caritas House HIV shelter and his church.
